The Holmes County company and its popular Berlin Flyer Wagon will be featured on the children’s show “Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood” on PBS Wednesday morning. Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood is an animated spinoff of the long-running “Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood,” which first aired on PBS in 1968. Pittsburgh PBS affiliate WQED reached out to the business, said Kevin Miller, chief financial officer for HCM. “I think they just found us through our website,” Miller said. “They’re from Pittsburgh, so they’re looking for something that’s in driving distance. They basically just said, ‘We produce this kids show and we’re looking for something that involves putting wagons together.’ “ The show is made for preschoolers ages 2 to 4 and features Daniel Tiger, the son of the original program’s Daniel Striped Tiger puppet. Each episode contains two stories that center on a theme, like dealing with disappointment, for example. HCM’s Berlin Flyer Wagon will be featured on episode 414 called “Daniel Likes to be with Dad; Daniel Likes to be with Mom,” where Daniel and his mother turn her old wagon into a trolley.
